Kisha Christianimage1, Pharm. D

Dr. Christian was born on the island of St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands. She is the younger of two children born to Charles “Charlo” and Kathleen Christian.

Kisha obtained her primary and secondary education from Charles H. Emmanuel School, Author A. Richards Jr. high School and earned her high school diploma from St. Joseph Episcopal School in 1994. It is no surprise that Kisha Christian’s interest in the pharmacy began at a very young age. She worked at Golden Rock Pharmacy for a summer during high school. From this first opportunity she knew what she wanted to do and achieve in helping to relieve those who were in poor health and strength.

Dr. Christian’s education includes but is not limited to a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia in 2004. Upon graduating, she accepted a position at Target Pharmacy where she was promoted to pharmacy manager in three months.  During her fourteen year tenure with Target some of her responsibilities included managing and creating strategies to optimize customer care and researching methods to expand the amount of services that could be provided. Having a customer centered approach with medicine and patient care has made Dr. Christian that much more passionate about improving the systems and quality of health care.

Kisha returned home to St. Croix in 2011 as an accomplished young pharmacist with experience in consulting for high-end pharmacies like Target, and serving on various boards in the state of Georgia. Dr. Christian has founded MTM consultants of the VI, where she works as an independent consultant Pharmacist responsible for optimizing therapeutic outcomes for over 30 patients.

In late 2015, Dr. Christian will achieve her lifelong dream of opening her own pharmacy, Neighborhood Pharmacy, in her hometown. Neighborhood Pharmacy will be committed and dedicated to making a difference in the community and the lives of its customers.

Dr. Christian’s passion has made her the recipient of several awards during her career. She earned a citizenship award for volunteer work in her Social Circle community in Georgia, Pharmacist of the year from Target Corp, as well as Employee of the year from Target Corp.

Always remaining active, Kisha stays involved in many community organizations, including League of Women Voters, Generation Now!, Inc. and is currently working on her own non-profit organization that will focus on healthcare in the community. Kisha also serves as a board member for the Freewill Investment Group.

With licenses to practice Pharmacy in the State of Georgia and the U.S. Virgin Islands Kisha Christian has had the best of both worlds. But in her spare time, she is an avid reader and enjoys family time and conquering her bucket list. She has also found a way to engage the community by using social media to post daily about health awareness. She is very determined and energized when it comes to changing healthcare in the Virgin Islands and a driving commitment to making people healthier. Dr. Christian has a special interest in the areas of geriatrics and diabetes care. Seniors rely on medicine at one of the highest rates, so they need to have the accessibility and resources for quality healthcare.

While enjoying life back home and giving back to her community, Kisha Christian has three beautiful girls, Marisha (18), Shamara (13), Makia (10) all who continue to motivate her to continue the fight for personal and community improvement.
